NIKE HOCKEY–NCAA/IIHF.
I also designed uniforms for College and International hockey. This uniform for the University of Michigan was an experiment in minimalism. How much could I take away and still have a hockey uniform.

Michigan is a top flight program and is tied for the lead in NCAA championships won.

They wore this uniform for about six years.

This uniform for Ohio State was the first major team to use our second generation ventilated jersey. Here they are putting it in a time capsule.

Penn State was not an NCAA team when we put them in this jersey. They were a big "club" team and they were very willing to let us test our newest uniform design with them.

I redesigned the Netherlands ice hockey team identity. Hockey was not that popular in Holland and the federation wanted to raise their public profile. The lion logo is still used in slightly modified form almost 25 years later!

A sampling of other IIHF team uniforms I designed. Ukraine was a very good team-had they made the 1998 Olympics, this is the uniform they would have used. South Africa wanted to use every color in their flag to celebrate the fall of Apartheid. Luxembourg still uses the lion logo I designed for them. Thailand lost their first game in international play 92-0-I think that is still a record and they wore my uniform doing it! Ireland still uses the logo I designed for them.
